DISCUSSION QUESTIONS
EUCC Bible School Classes For Sunday May 16, 2010 at 11:00
1. The Jewish leaders considered Peter and John to be “unschooled, ordinary men.” Some of the greatest “soul winners” have been “unschooled, ordinary” people. In some churches there is a bias against education. Discuss the advantages & disadvantages of education for Christians.
2. Discuss what is essential for telling others about Jesus.
3. What do you think they meant when they said Peter and John had been with Jesus? How does a person get/be/stay with Jesus today? If it were illegal to be a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you?
4. The Jewish leaders could say that Peter and John had been with Jesus because they had seen and heard Jesus first hand. Now, 2000 years later, it is easy to confuse being Christian with being religious. Name some religious behaviors that are often associated with being Christian.
5. What are some cultural associations are often associated with being a Christian. “You can tell he/she is a Christian because______”.
6. The Jewish leaders arrested Peter & John for talking about Jesus. Later it was against the law to be a Christian. What is happening today in America that will soon lead to persecution of Christians and perhaps even abolishing churches? Discuss how this process might happen.
