Sunday's Lesson:   “Wanted:  Contagious Christians”

Text:  Matthew 5:13-16

1.      Make a list of different kinds of light.  Compare the different kinds of light with different kinds of witness of Christians.

2.      Give a definition of a “witness”.  What does a witness no?  What makes what the witness says believable?

3.      Are you more likely to curse the darkness or to light a candle?  Explain.  Who is responsible for witnessing at EUCC?

4.      What is necessary in order for light and salt to function?  What renders light or salt ineffective or useless?  What are some substitutes for light and salt?

5.      What are some things that inhibit some Christians from sharing their faith?  How can we overcome these fear factors?

6.      How would you go about giving your Christian testimony in 2 minutes or less?  What does praying have to do with witnessing?

7.      How can Christians more effectively communicate Jesus to those who are not yet Christians?

8.      What do empty pews at EUCC (empty seats in small groups)  say about our witnessing?  So what?
