Question: How can you be a Christian without being religious?

That sounds contradictory. After all, Christianity is called one of the world's great religions.

But Christianity is MORE than a religion. In religion people try to find God, reach God, and please God through their own efforts. Religions reach up toward God. Christianity is God reaching down to people.

Some people prefer religion. That way they get to be in control and deal with God on their own terms. Unfortunately that does not work.

Let's talk about it this Sunday in the worship service that begins at 9:45 at East Unaka Christian Church. The message from Galatians 3:1-5 is "How To Be Christian Without Being Religious."

Forward and upward,

Wayne
