Conflict
Are you suffering from personal hurt? Perhaps you've been neglected, ignored, embarrassed, abandoned, rejected, divorced, overlooked, forgotten, insulted, criticized or slandered.
Bitterness and anger in your life will steal your joy and perhaps even cost you your soul.
Let's talk about it this Sunday at 9:45 at East Unaka Christian Church, 1201 E. Unaka Avenue, Johnson City.
From The Gospel of Matthew 18:15-20 I will be teaching on "How Christians Handle Conflict". |

Share The Bread
On one occasion 4,000 men, plus women and children, had been with Jesus in a remote place for three days. Their hunger was becoming a serious issue. Jesus would not send them away weaker than they were when they came to Him.
Jesus asked, "How many loaves do you have?" That day seven loaves of bread and a few fish fed all those people...AND there were 7 hamper-size baskets of leftovers.
God often operates outside our box. He can whip a giant with the sling and a stone of a shepherd boy. He can feed millions with manna for forty years. He can transform a terrorist named Saul into a teacher named Paul.
Sometimes when God asks "how many loaves do you have?" we fudge on Him cause we are afraid of losing. But, as is often the case, when given to God even a little becomes the source of some of the greatest blessings in our life.
Let's talk about it Sunday morning at 9:45 at East Unaka Christian Church, 1201 E. Unaka Avenue, Johnson City. The lesson from from Matthew 15:29-39 will be "Share The Bread".

This Soldier Understood Authority
One of the things I admire about Jesus is his habit of talking to people whom religious people considered undesirable. Jesus frequently talked with the beaten up, the bedraggled, the broken. Jesus talked with Roman solders, small children, shady ladies, people of other religions and people of other colors.
To Jesus there was no color. To Jesus there was no race or culture. To Him there was no social class. To Him there was no down and out or up and out. To Him there was no age preference. To Him there was no gender bias. To Him there was so scar, stain or sin that conditioned or affected in anyway His desire and ability to give His undivided attention, his love, acceptance and forgiveness to those who came to Him.

"Who touched me?"
Jarrita Lou was 12...very sick...and very dead! Lilly had been bleeding for 12 years...very sick...shunned and very desperate. "If I can only touch..." Two people who got life because of Jesus.
One of the things I like about Jesus is that he never turns anyone away who comes to him. Never! Do you want to get life? Get Jesus!
"Who touched me?" Jesus was not angry. In fact, he called her "daughter"!!! What dignity. What love. What acceptance. Can you imagine God calling you daughter/son? Get Jesus.
Now what problem are you having that is beyond God's help? Let's talk about it Sunday morning at 9:45 at East Unaka Christian Church, 1201 E. Unaka Avenue, Johnsin City, TN. "Get Life" is our topic. Matthew 9:18-26 is our text.
Forward and upward,

Just try it!
Christ is the first word in Christmas which is the celebration of the arrival of God's anointed into this world. There is no Christmas without Christ. You cannot even say Christmas without Christ. Just try it!
Jesus is the promised one, the expected one, who came to reveal God and to redeem people so that we can have the value, meaning and purpose God created each of us to have.
Let's talk about it Sunday morning at 9:45 at East Unaka Christian Church. The message is "The Christmas ," from the Gospel of John 1:2.
Also Sunday morning we will be blessed by our youth choir as they present the musical "How Far Is It To Bethlehem Town?" We will also celebrate John Buchanan and Jeff McNabb being ordained to the ministry of elder.
